Should we replace our server or move to the cloud?
It depends on your workloads. File sharing and email almost always belong in Microsoft 365 now. Line-of-business applications with local database dependencies may still justify an on-premises server or an Azure virtual machine. We assess your actual usage and give you a straight recommendation, including when buying a new server is not the right spend.
How long does a server migration take?
A typical small business server migration takes two to four weeks of planning and preparation, with the cutover done over a weekend or after hours. Users come back Monday to a working environment, and we keep the old server on standby until the new one is proven.
What happens to our old server?
Drives are wiped to recognised standards such as NIST 800-88, or physically destroyed where required. You receive a destruction certificate for each device, and we arrange responsible e-waste recycling for the hardware.
Do you support servers you did not supply?
Yes. We start with an assessment of the server's health, warranty status and risks, then either take it under management or recommend a replacement path if it is genuinely past its useful life.
Can you virtualise our existing physical server?
Yes. Physical-to-virtual migration onto Hyper-V or VMware is a common project. Virtualisation makes backup, recovery and future hardware refreshes far simpler.
How much does a new business server cost?
A small business server with virtualisation typically costs between $6,000 and $15,000 plus installation, depending on capacity and redundancy. Every project is fixed-scope and quoted in writing after an assessment.
