Frequently asked questions
About computer lab setup
How much does a computer lab cost to set up in Sydney?
A typical 20-seat student lab runs between $1,200 and $2,500 per seat including the PC, monitor, networking, imaging and setup, depending on the software you need to run. We give you a fixed, itemised quote after a site inspection so you know the full cost before committing.
Can you set up labs suitable for RTO student assessments?
Yes. We configure assessment-ready setups with locked-down machines, restricted internet or application access, a separate assessment network where required, and a fast reset so every student starts from an identical clean state.
Should our lab use Windows PCs or Chromebooks?
It depends on your software. If students need applications like MYOB, Adobe or a Windows-based student management system client, Windows PCs are the right choice. If training is browser-based, ChromeOS devices are cheaper to buy and far easier to manage. We will recommend based on your courses, not our stock.
How do students get a clean machine each class?
We set up mandatory profiles, automatic sign-out, or scheduled re-imaging depending on your needs. Most labs reset fully between sessions with no involvement from your trainers.
Do you support the lab after it is built?
Yes. Labs can be covered under a standalone support plan or rolled into a managed IT agreement covering your whole organisation, including patching, monitoring and break-fix.
Can installation happen between terms or after hours?
Yes, and that is how we prefer to do it. Most lab builds and refreshes are scheduled during term breaks, weekends or evenings so classes are never disrupted.
